Tomato Rasam



Tomato rasam is my hubby's all time favourite. When i feel lazy to cook,I mostly make this simple rasam in no time.Try this once and enjoy

Ingredients:
tomato - 1/2
tamarind - 1/2 lemon size
pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp
cumin powder - 1/2 tbsp
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
garlic - 3 pods
green chilly - 2 nos
coriander leaves
salt and oil as required



Instruction:
Soak the tamarind pulp in a warm water about 15 mins


After 15 mins,extract the pulp and strain aside


Squeeze tomato and add required salt and turmeric powder



Add cumin powder and pepper powder


Now add  crushed garlic and crushed green chilly to the tamarind water


And finally add chopped coriander leaves


Take a pan,add some oil


Add mustard seed once it cracks then and curry leaves


Now add the tamarind water and close the lid,cook in a medium flame about 5 to 10 minutes


Once its get boil,switch off the flame


Now its ready to serve with hot steamed rice
