Lamb leg kurma



I have learnt this recipe from my mil.one of the tastiest recipe.Today i have tried with lamb leg u can also do with mutton leg,i will tell you the count of whistles for mutton.I assure you try it once you will love it.It can be serve with hot steamed rice or chappathi. Im gonna share with videos and photos to cook easier right below

Ingredients:

Lamb leg - 6 nos
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Whole spices
Kolambu powder ( mix of chily and coriander powder) -2tbsp
Coriander leaves

For grinding:

Grated coconut - 1 cup
Fennel seed - 11/2 tbsp
Cumin seed - 1 tbsp
Whole pepper - t tbsp




Instructions:

Take a pressure cooker,add oil and spices


Add ginger garlic paste and saute well


Now add lamb leg,salt,turmeric powder,kolambu powder


Add enough water and close the lid pressure cook this about 15 whistle.If you wish do with mutton leg pressure cook this about 10 to 12 whistles



Now take a blender add coconut,fennel seed,cumin seed,whole pepper blend them into a fine paste


After pressure release open the lid,check the leg are properly cooked or not


Take a pan,add oil,fennel seed,curry leaves and green chilly


Add onion saute until it gets translucent and then add ginger garlic paste


Add tomatos untill it gets mashy


Now its time to add the lamb leg soup mix well


Add that ground paste in the pan


Add some red chilly powder,salt as needed


Add some water and mix it well,close the lid and cook in a medium flame for about 10 minutes.


Finally open the lid add some coriander leaves


Now its ready to serve with hot steamed rice or chapatti
