I have learnt this recipe from my grand mother...she generally used to make this as evening snack..This is one of my favourite snack and its healthy one..we used to call it as neer urundai but some people used to call as uppu urundai...im gonna share this recipe right below
Ingredients
1.Idly rice- 11/2 cup
2.grated coconut-1/2 cup
3.mustard seed-1/2 tbsp
4.channa daal-1 tbsp
5.urad daal-1 tbsp
5.dry chilli-5 nos
6.curry leaves
7.salt & water as needed
Instruction
1.Wash and soak the idly rice in water for atleast 4 to 6 hours maximum or u can soak it overnight as well
3.Take a pan,add two tablespoon of oil once the oil heats add mustard seed
5.Add urad dal when the dal starts to turn golden brown color,now add the curry leaves and dry chilly continue to saute once it all get fry
7.Now add grated coconut and switch off the flame.let it cool down slightly
9.Make a small size ball using dough and keep it aside,now its ready to steam
11.Now its ready to serve:-)
