Lamb chukka/fry

This recipe is most popular in chettinad restaurants.It is easy to cook at home with freshly grind spice powder,it goes well with steamed hot rice or any rice varieties.Gonna share step by step pictures amd videos right below to cook easier


1. Lamb - 500g
2. Onion - 2 (finely chopped)
3. Green chilly -3 (slit)
4. Ginger garlic paste -1tbsp
5. Curry leaves
6. Fennel seed - 1 tsp
7. Cumin seed - 1 tsp
8. Coriander seed - 1tsp
9. Pepper corns - 2tsp
10. Dry chilli - 3
11. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
12. Salt and oil as required


Wash and clean the lamb,slice onions and green chilly
For grinding,put fennel seed,cumin seed,coriander seed,pepper corns,dry chilly to the blender,blend it  as fine powder

Take a cooker,add some oil,lamb,turmeric powder,salt,ground powder,salt as required and mix well

Add 1/2 glass water,pressure cook this about 9 to 10 whistles in a medium high flame

Take a pan,add some oil once the oil heats add green chilly and curry leaves,saute well

Now add chopped onion saute well until it become translucent

Add ginger garlic paste saute until the raw smell go

Now add that cooked lamb curry,saute well

Cook in a medium flame until the oil ooze out from the gravy

Now its ready to serve:-)
