Chettinad prawn curry - I usually cook dry gravy or tamarind sauce kulambu using prawn thats common recipe which i usually do it in my kitchen. If you really want to taste proper chettinad gravy then try it this recipe. It goes well with hot steamed rice,chapati . Today i did this recipe with frozen prawns,try this recipe with fresh prawn that will be so good for this recipes. I freshly made spice powder for this recipe,avoid instant store buy spice powder.Try this spicy gravy and let me know how it turned out for you
Ingredients:
Prawn - 400g
Onion - 2 (medium size)
Tomato - 1 1/2
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Salt and oil as required
Ground Spice masala:
Cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch
Cloves - 2
Fennel seed - 1 tsp
Cumin seed - 1 tsp
Whole black pepper - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly - 2
Coriander seed - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Garlic - 4 pods
Onion - 1/2 (medium size)

Instructions:
Wash and clean the prawns and keep it aside
Take a pan,add some oil,add the ingredients one by one cinnamon stick,cloves,fennel seed,cumin seed,coriander seed,red chilly,ginger,garlic,onion
Let it again cook for 5 to 6 mins in a medium flame,do not over cook the prawns sometimes it will be so rubbery.
